What I love about food halls is that I have a lot of options but it’s all in just one place. In a world where people treat going to restaurants like they’re going to museums – this trend of having little restaurants and vendors all in one place seems like it’s here to stay.
With that being said, here are three of my favorite food halls and marketplaces in Baltimore.
Mt. Vernon Marketplace 520 Park Ave, Baltimore, MD 21201
Out of all three places, I would say this place offers the most eclectic mix of mini restaurants and vendors per square. Located in the heart of Mt. Vernon, this food halls contains a mixture of an oyster bar to a dumpling place to even a jewelry store.

Belvedere Square Market 529 E. Belvedere Ave. Baltimore, MD 21212
This place probably has the most history and is the largest out of all three places. Once you step into the market, you feel like you’ve been somewhere that holds a lot of stories to tell. I love how it’s a place where everyone can come. It’s not too trendy and it’s a lot more of a welcoming environment.

R.House 301 W 29th St, Baltimore, MD 21211
R.House is a newly established food hall – only about two years old. It’s the perfect example of a trendy food hall place. Despite being new, however, R.House seems like a promising Baltimore favorite. It knows how to cater to a younger demographic and offers a lot of cool features in their food hall to help it function better. Like for, example, the bar is placed right in the middle of the place – easy to spot. There’s a one stop place for water and you know where to dump your plates and trays afterwards.
